Updated Passport TrailSport is the most rugged, off-road capable Passport ever with new off-road tuned suspension and all-terrain tires
New top-of-the-line Black Edition adds more aggressive design and premium comfort features
Passport EX-L is exceptionally well-equipped with a starting MSRP of $41,9001
Offering a top-of class combination of off-road capability, nimble on-road dynamics and rugged design, the updated 2024 Honda Passport begins arriving at dealerships today with improved off-road performance, updated styling and a more versatile interior. Packed with standard equipment, including torque-vectoring i-VTM4® all-wheel drive, Passport’s Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) begins with the Passport EX-L at $41,9001.
Enhanced with a new off-road tuned suspension and trail-ready all-terrain tires, the 2024 Passport TrailSport is the most rugged, off-road capable Passport ever. A new Black Edition at the top of the Passport lineup takes the midsize SUV’s style to new heights with a more aggressive design, inside and out, and even more premium comfort features.
“With more rugged off-road performance than ever before, the 2024 Honda Passport builds on our legacy of engineering rugged, capable and comfortable SUVs for active, weekend adventurers,” said Lance Woelfer, assistance vice president of Honda National Auto Sales, American Honda Motor Co., Inc. “Passport also has more buyers under 35 than key competitors in the segment.”
The 2024 Passport can be uniquely customized with an expanded line of Genuine Honda Accessories that includes underbody protection to take Passport’s rugged capability even further. Passport’s revised line of post-production option packages now includes a second HPD Package designed in collaboration with Honda Performance Development (HPD), Honda’s U.S.-based racing company. The new HPD+ package adds to Passport’s rugged appearance with a unique grille treatment, black fender flares, and aggressive 20-inch wheels on EX-L and Black Edition (18-inch on TrailSport).
Exceptionally Well-Equipped
Designed and developed in the U.S., the refreshed 2024 Passport lineup starts with the very well-equipped EX-L, which comes with Honda’s 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine, 9-speed automatic transmission and award-winning torque-vectoring i-VTM4® all-wheel drive. Honda’s largest 5-passenger SUV also comes standard with leather seating, one-touch power moonroof, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ compatibility, a power tailgate with remote, blind spot information (BSI), rear seat reminder, rear seatbelt reminder, front and rear parking sensors and 20-inch alloy wheels. Passport’s four-mode Intelligent Traction Management allows drivers to customize the i-VTM4® system for different terrains, including sand, snow, mud, and paved roads.
For additional comfort and functionality, all 2024 Passports benefit from a new center console with a large, newly-integrated armrest and expanded storage. The center-console storage bin can now swallow a full-size tablet, and an improved storage tray ahead of the shifter is large enough to accommodate two large smartphones, side by side.
For the 2024 model year, Passport TrailSport brings even more off-road capability to the Passport lineup. Exclusive rugged hardware includes a new off-road tuned suspension, with increased articulation and improved off-road ride quality without sacrificing Passport’s exceptional on-road comfort and best-in-class handling.
The TrailSport also includes Passport’s first-ever application of all-terrain tires, which take its rugged capabilities even further. Standard General Grabber™ A/T Sport tires (245/60R18), mounted on unique Pewter-painted 18-inch wheels, substantially improve TrailSport’s traction in dirt, sand, mud, rocky terrain and snow, but remain quiet and comfortable on the road.
Also exclusive to Honda TrailSport models, a new available Diffused Sky Blue paint color, which debuted on the all-new 2024 Pilot TrailSport, highlights its rugged design. TrailSport’s cabin stands out with orange contrast stitching on the steering wheel, door panels and seats, with the TrailSport logo embroidered on the front seat head restraints and molded onto its standard all-season rubber floor mats. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ compatibility, Qi-compatible wireless charging and four USB-C charging ports are standard.
At the top of the lineup, the new Black Edition trim features exclusive exterior and interior styling enhancements that distinguish it from the rest of the Passport family. Available in Crystal Black Pearl, the new top-of-the-line trim is also available in Sonic Gray Pearl, Platinum White Pearl and Radiant Red Metallic II. For a premium, upscale look every Passport Black Edition includes black-painted 20-inch alloy wheels, blackout treatments for the grille, headlight trim, side trim, door handles, window trim and fog light accents, and Black Edition badges on the grille and tailgate.
Inside, the Black Edition’s upscale look and feel continues with exclusive features and styling enhancements, including ventilated front seats, heated rear seats and red-accented perforated leather seating. The Black Edition is the only Passport trim with red contrast stitching on the steering wheel, seats and door panels, and red accent lighting illuminating the dash, doors and center console. The Black Edition logo is embossed on the front seats and floor mats.
In addition, all 2024 Passports come standard with the Honda Sensing® suite of safety and driver-assistive technologies. On Passport, Honda Sensing® includes Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) with Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM) with Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC).
For additional value and peace of mind, Honda offers purchasers of the 2024 Passport the complimentary Honda Service Pass4 maintenance plan, which covers select factory-scheduled maintenance, as indicated by the vehicle’s Maintenance Minder system, performed at a participating Honda dealership for the first two years or 24,000 miles of vehicle life, whichever comes first. These services include standard oil and filter changes, tire rotation and multi-point inspections.
